Galatasaray winger Bruma happy to work with Jose Mourinho amid Man United links

Galatasaray winger Bruma has admitted that he would be happy to work with Jose Mourinho amid speculation surrounding a potential move to Manchester United for the 22-year-old.

It was reported back in August that Mourinho, following Man United’s 5-2 pre-season win over Galatasaray in August, told Bruma that he would be keeping a close eye on him throughout the season.

The Special One, as reported earlier this month, is prepared to launch an £8m bid for the Portuguese starlet during the January transfer window.

Bruma, when asked to comment on these links, was unable to hide his excitement at the prospect of working with Mourinho.

“Any player would love to work with him (Mourinho),” he said.

“It would be an honour for me, but, while it doesn’t happen, I’m focused here (Galatasaray). I’ve already played in Spain. I’d perfectly fit in English football.”

When you consider the growingly sticky predicament of Memphis Depay at Old Trafford, Mourinho’s interest in Bruma makes sense.

Memphis has made it clear that, should the right offer come along, he would be open to a move away, and Everton boss Ronald Koeman has also outlined a desire to acquire the Dutchman’s services. His days at United appear to be numbered, and Bruma – a powerful, devastatingly fast and slippery customer on the ball – serves as a viable replacement for the depleted 22-year-old.
