Jose Mourinho believes Manchester United will turn it around, despite the fact that they are currently sixth in the Premier League.
The Portuguese boss has endured a mixed start to life as Man united boss and has only won five league games all season.
Man United face West Ham at Old Trafford on Sunday and after three disappointing draws at home in the league against Stoke, Burnley and Arsenal, will be looking to claim all three points.
Speaking about the situation, Mourinho understands things can change quickly.
“When I won the last title 18 years ago – sorry, 18 months ago – I had something like 10 points advantage and then in one month I had the same points as Man City,” he said.
“We recovered and won that title. But you can recover points. Other teams can lose points. During the season there are moments where everything goes against you and where everything goes in your favour.
“We know that the game is not over – but the reality is that there is a distance, and there are many quality teams.
“It’s a very difficult competition, but let’s go match by match and see what happens. We play another difficult game on Sunday – let’s see if we can get the three points.”
Having lost a 10-point lead on rivals Man City as Chelsea boss in 2015, Mourinho of all people will know how to claw back a title charge.
Hopes are we start soon with a conniving win over West Ham at Old Trafford on Sunday to help close the gap on the top four.
