Man United fans delighted with Bastian Schweinsteiger’s return against West Ham

Manchester United fans were delighted to see Bastian Schweinsteiger on the bench for their Premier League home game against West Ham United.

Having previously been frozen out by Jose Mourinho, there seemed to be a slim chance of ever seeing him in a Man United shirt again.

However, he was back in the squad after making his return to training at the end of October and was named among the substitutes for West Ham’s visit in the absence of Michael Carrick, who is said to be injured.

Here’s what fans on social media had to say about his return to the squad.

It was brilliant to see him back with the team, but his return could easily be a ploy to raise his price before the January transfer window.

He hasn’t played a minute since Mourinho was appointed manager in pre-season and his professionalism would have undoubtedly impressed the Portuguese boss.

After being written off as an asset in the club’s financial results for the year ending June 30, 2016, supporters believed his career at Old Trafford was over, but it seems Mourinho could of had a change in heart.
