Manchester United fans were left furious with Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s performance against West Ham United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The big Swede got himself on the end of Paul Pogba’s spectacular pass to equalise West Ham’s lead early, but has been heavily criticised by supporters after the game.
Whether it was how he marked Diafra Sakho for his goal in the second minute or the fact that he missed chances throughout the game, fans on social media have urged Jose Mourinho to drop Zlatan.
We need a prolific striker, someone who would keep Ibrahimovic on his toes!! Cause he hasn't been clinical enough for a utd striker #MUFC

And as good as it is to have Ibrahimovic at the club for brand exposure and as a mentor for our younger players. It's clear we need better.

Ibrahimovic should be coming off the bench with 20 minutes to go. Not starting every game. Centre forward in January please. #ZlatanTime

Mou needs to start two strikers up front. This will increase goal scoring chances. Ibrahimovic as lone striker not doing it right now #MUFC

Man United have not been clinical enough in front of goal, the fact that they’ve only scored three goals in 91 shots at home against Stoke, Burnley, Arsenal and West Ham is absolutely disgraceful.
Mourinho needs to address the situation moving forward and while I do believe it’s harsh for Zlatan to simply be dropped, something needs to change as we can’t continue to be so careless with our opportunities.
The club have a seriously busy set of fixtures over the Christmas period and the pressure will only continue to mount if results do not improve.
