Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has backed Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba to become one of the Premier League’s best players.
The Frenchman has endured a mixed start to the season at Old Trafford following his £89 million transfer from Juventus in the summer.
However, Lloris believes his France team-mate will become a massive success at Man United after the midfielder’s start to the campaign was hampered by his participation at Euro 2016.
“There is a lot of pressure around him, certainly due to his transfer fee,” he said.
“But he feels quite relaxed with everything. He has not changed personality. Paul is a winner, he has a strong personality, he has character, but he also has respect for team-mates and coaches.
“He may need to get used to the demands of the Premier League. I think his preparation at the start of the season was disrupted, but that has been the case for all of France’s players [at Euro 2016].
“He has made an impact in Manchester United’s games. And I think he will become one of the best players in the Premier League.”
He almost put one past Lloris 90 seconds into the first-half on Sunday afternoon and his performances have massively improved since his summer move.
At 23, there is plenty of time for him to develop at Old Trafford and become a top player under Jose Mourinho.
