Zlatan Ibrahimovic insists Henrikh Mkhitaryan is completely dominating his position at Manchester United.
The Armenian had struggled to establish himself in the first-team following his summer move from Borussia Dortmund, but has been in excellent form since his he was brought back into the side by Jose Mourinho.
He scored his first goal for the club against FC Zorya Luhansk and then followed up with the only goal of the game to secure a vital victory for Man United over Tottenham on Sunday.
Speaking about his teammate, Ibrahimovic was full of praise for his return to the first-team.
“He scored a fantastic goal in Ukraine, today he scored a great goal,” he said.
“He’s dominanting in his role. We’re happy for him.
“Hopefully the injury is not so bad as it looked like.
“He’s important for us, that’s why United bought him and that’s why the coach brought him, because they know his quality, we know his quality, we see it every day, and the world gets to see his quality now.
“I’m super happy for him.”
He was forced off the pitch in a stretcher against Tottenham, but Mourinho has confirmed he will be back in action before the end of the year.
It’s a shame that he’s picked up an injury just as he was finding his feet but hopes are he’ll be back even stronger to pick up from where he left off.
