Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann insists he has no intentions of joining the Premier League in the near future as his is enjoying his time in the Spanish capital.
He has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent weeks, with Jose Mourinho allegedly placing the 25-year-old at the top of his summer transfer list.
Supports have also witnessed his blossoming friendship with international team-mate Paul Pogba, following their impressive showings at Euro 2016 earlier in the year.
Speaking about a potential move, he claimed he hasn’t given it any thought at this time in his career.
“I’m good in Madrid,” he said. “I don’t want to leave. I’m happy here. I have just had a little girl, I play my games, I’m good. Sorry, I’m going to stay.
“I’m so good at Atletico. Honestly, I don’t see myself leaving.
“People often talk to me about England too, but I’m good here. And also, going from Atletico to Real must be difficult.
“I don’t necessarily have the desire to try, nor to ask those who have already done it. No, I’m not thinking about it.”
Griezmann wouldn’t admit a move even if he’s booked a plane to Old Trafford, however one thing that is certain is that his future relies on Diego Simeone’s presence at Vicente Calderón Stadium.
Should Simeone leave, then we could potentially see Griezmann decide his options, but if the Argentine boss stays, there’s no reason for Griezmann to consider other possibilities.
