Victor Lindelof is in action tonight with Benfica taking on Rio Ave in the Portuguese League.

Lindelof, 22, is reportedly on the verge of completing a move to Manchester United and tonight’s game could well be the last time Lindelof plays for Benfica before transferring to Old Trafford.

Tonight is an opportunity for Man United fans to watch Lindelof play and see what type of centre-back he is, although comparisons with Nemanja Vidic give an early indication as to what style he uses.

Here is Benfica’s confirmed starting XI for the game: Ederson, Nélson Semedo, Luisão, Lindelöf, André Almeida, Fejsa, Pizzi, Cervi, Rafa, Gonçalo Guedes e Mitroglou

The match against Rio Ave kicks off at 6pm GMT and we’ll bring you a report on his performance as well as reaction from United fans as to how good, or badly, he played.

I’m really keen to see what the excitement is about with Lindelof because like Eric Bailly when we signed him from Valencia, I hadn’t seen him in action very much and it’ll be a chance to see what the hype is all about.
