The German was initially banished from the starting XI by Jose Mourinho, who made it clear that he wasn’t part of his plans at Old Trafford.

Some may question Schweinsteiger’s playing style, but nobody can ever fault the German’s unfailingly positive attitude towards all aspects of life. United fans will be curious to see what 2017 holds for the German.
