Timothy Fosu-Mensah has sent a message of gratitude to Manchester United fans for their support over 2016.
The Dutchman, in what has been a groundbreaking year, made his first team debut against Arsenal back in Feburary and went on to make ten appearances under Louis van Gaal.
And despite only making two starts under Jose Mourinho so far this season, the 18-year-old was awarded with a new contract back in October.
Fosu-Mensah took to social media to send supporters a message of thanks following an excellent year.

This has been a truly sensational year for the 18-year-old. He broke into a Man United side deprived of confidence, struggling to thrive within the confined limits of van Gaal’s uninspiring system.
But much like fellow youngsters Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, the Dutchman refused to fall into the pit of mediocrity installed by the former manager, producing a number of powerful, commanding performances across the back.
Chances have been hard to come by under Mourinho, with Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones, Luke Shaw, Matteo Darmian all now featuring on a regular basis after failing to secure a place in the starting XI last season, but the future looks unavoidably bright for the 18-year-old.
