Manchester United face West Ham on Monday evening and the squad are traveling down to London as they arrived at Stockport Station for their train journey down to the capital on New Year’s Day.

Although Michael Carrick had been left out of the Middlesbrough with an illness, he has returned to the side and was pictured with teammates and staff members.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Ashley Young and Matteo Darmian also travelled with the squad and could be set to return to the side even though they were also left out against Middlesbrough.

Bastian Schweinsteiger was included in the match-day squad on Saturday evening but was not pictured, while Eric Bailly is unavailable due to his commitments with Ivory Cost in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Luke Shaw is still recovering from an injury but Mourinho has confirmed he is approaching the end of his process, while Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay are expected to leave the club this month.

Rooney has missed the games against Sunderland and Middlesbrough with a thigh injury, and was not pictured with the side, meaning he could return in Reading’s FA Cup visit on Saturday.

Confirmed United squad members: De Gea, Romero, Johnstone, Fosu-Mensah, Valencia, Darmian, Smalling, Jones, Rojo, Herrera, Carrick, Pogba, Fellaini, Young, Mata, Lingard, Mkhitaryan, Martial, Ibrahimovic and Rashford.
