Jose Mourinho has already rejected three bids from West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis, who is believed to be ready to pay up to £24 million for the Frenchman’s services.
Everton’s interest in the Frenchman has been known for several weeks but a deal could also include Memphis Depay, who has been heavily linked with a move to Ronald Koeman’s side.
Man United are looking to recoup most of the £24m they paid Southampton for Schneiderlin last summer, even though he hasn’t been playing regular first-team football at Old Trafford.
He has made eight appearances under the Portuguese boss the campaign, with only three in three in the Premier League and could be subject of a bidding war in January.
Koeman worked with Schneiderlin at St Mary’s before his move to Old Trafford and understands how to get the best out of him as the Frenchman looks to kickstart his career following a disappointing spell at United.
Tony Pulis made Schneiderlin his number one target for the transfer window, but it remains to be seen where he’ll end up as Mourinho doesn’t look like he’ll be willing to budge on the price.
