Man United’s Morgan Schneiderlin set to finalise £22m move to Everton – report

Everton are set to sign Morgan Schneiderlin after agreeing a £22million deal with Manchester United, according to the Telegraph.

The Frenchman has been heavily linked with an Old Trafford exit in the January transfer window and he is expected to leave the club in the next 48 hours and join up again with Ronald Koeman.

He has endured a difficult time at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho and it seems a deal has finally been agreed as Everton have been in negotiations with United since the January transfer window.

James Ducker claims both clubs reached a breakthrough on Tuesday and Schneiderlin will now be cleared for a medical at Everton’s Finch Farm training ground.

West Bromwich Albion were also keen to sign Schneiderlin, but had a £18million offer turned down earlier in the window and have appeared to have been beaten in the race to sign the 27-year-old.

Mourinho was hoping to recoup most of the £24million the club paid Southampton two seasons ago, and after various performance related add-ons the deal could allegedly raise to that price.

Koeman has also targeted Memphis Depay, but his fee is considered to be a stumbling block in agreeing a price.
