Manchester United supporters were full of praise for Paul Pogba following a superb performance during their side’s 2-0 win over Hull City in the League Cup on Tuesday night.
The Frenchman, deployed in a slightly deeper midfield duo, controlled proceedings in midfield and dazzled the watching world with a series of spellbinding passes all across the pitch.
He almost added a second for Jose Mourinho’s men after 73 minutes with a thunderous free-kick that rattled the woodwork.
Man United fans were quick to heap praise on the 23-year-old in light of another commanding display.
#pogba makes everything he does look so easy:win a tackle, 50-yard pass, 30-yard shot. I can see why some (wrong) people may think he's lazy

If there was one moment that summed up Pogba’s evening, the 15th minute would be a strong contender: in came the ball to Pogba’s feet and Markus Henriksen, steaming in, went to pinch the ball from the Frenchman’s grasp. The result, of course, was Henriksen having to hobble off with an injury. It was, in many ways, a fitting microcosm of Pogba’s overall power and influence in comparison to anybody wearing black and gold.
He was notably stronger, smarter and simply more adept at spraying the ball across the pitch than anybody else. It felt like a real ‘men against boys’ contest on several occasions, and United fans will hope to see more of the same at the KC Stadium.
