Antonio Valencia speaks out after signing new Man United contract extension until 2018

Antonio Valencia has spoken out about extending his Manchester United contract until 2018, insisting he’s happy to give everything for the greatest club in the world.

Man United confirmed a clause had been trigged to extend Antonio Valencia’s contract by one year, earning him a well-deserved stay at the club until at least June 2018.

He has made 271 appearances, scored 21 goals and won six trophies since joining from Wigan Athletic in 2009, but his impact at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho has been truly remarkable.

Valencia was delighted to have signed a new contract and took to social media to thank supporters.

Valencia has become a vital member of Mourinho’s squad, starting 23 matches in all competitions this campaign while earning the reputation as one of the finest right-backs around.

He was voted United’s Player of the Month for November by the fans and Mourinho’s arrival at the club has provided him with the platform to build on his career and kickstart his impressive displays in his eighth season as a United player.

Hopes are Valencia can maintain his impressive form as he’s already pushed Matteo Darmian out of his natural position due to his fine form and has been performing wonders all campaign for United.
