Jose Mourinho explains Marcos Rojo absence against Stoke City

Jose Mourinho has revealed that Marcos Rojo missed Manchester United’s clash against Stoke City through illness.

Supporters last summer would have been happy with the Argentine leaving Old Trafford, but he’s kickstarted his career under Mourinho, making 23 appearances this season.

He has been in brilliant form underneath the Portuguese boss, forming a brilliant relationship with Phil Jones in the centre of defence and impressed in the 1-1 draw against Liverpool last weekend.

Mourinho explained why Rojo was absent for the clash against Mark Hughes’ men as he was talking to the press prior to the game.

Rojo has been in spectacular form this season and hopes are he can maintain his impressive displays once he returns to the side against Hull City as he played a vital part in our recent run of games.

He was busy watching Mourinho’s men in action as he stood with Man United fans in the away end at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday evening.

The Argentine was also in the away end last year against Stoke, giving everything he can back to the fans and there’s no doubting his passion as Red!
