Antoine Griezmann has sent a clear message to Manchester United surrounding his future at Atletico Madrid, according to reports in Spain.
The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a big move to Old Trafford in the summer, but he gave a clear indication of his future during Atletico Madrid’s 2-2 draw with Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
After finding the back of the net in the 80th minute, he then made a direct message on the nearest camera, allegedly declaring: “C’est ma maison ici!” (“This is my house here.”)
Manager Diego Simeone recently claimed he wouldn’t block a move from Jose Mourinho for the 25-year-old, but it seems the Spaniard has committed his future to Simeone, who has guided him to his recent prominence.
Reports in England claim Griezmann is extremely keen on a switch and it remains to be seen if we’ll see him wear his beloved No.7 shirt at Old Trafford and playing alongside good friend Paul Pogba.
Mourinho was able to attract the likes of Paul Pogba, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Eric Bailly to Old Trafford without Champions League football to offer and there’s no doubt that if Griezmann enters his radar we could see him in a United shirt.
