Ian Wright blasts referee decisions in Hull City 2-1 Manchester United

Jon Moss managed to do the one thing all referees aim not to do by the full-time whistle, and that’s leaving the pitch as the centre of the attention.

Manchester United have now lost their unbeaten run and supporters weren’t pleased following their 2-1 defeat to Hull City at the KC Stadium in the second-leg of the League Cup Semi-final.

He awarded Marco Silva’s men a penalty in the first-half as Tom Huddlestone’s stepped up to the spot to make it 1-0, but everyone watching the replay was clear of Moss’ mistake.

Speaking on Twitter during the game, Wright completely slammed the referee for his mistakes.

It’s a dull way to lose our unbeaten run, especially because if Chris Smalling had won a penalty in the second-half for the same reason United conceded one in the first, the outcome could have been different.

United were bitten by their own complacency and had they headed into the fixture with a point to prove, then they probably would have been able to get the job done.

United face Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup and then Hull City once again in the Premier League a few days later and hopes are they can pick up a better result.
