Jose Mourinho has confirmed Ashley Young is staying at Manchester United past the January transfer window.
The Englishman had been heavily linked with an Old Trafford exit as five clubs were allegedly interested in his services, however he has decided to stay after Mourinho previously stated he’d love to keep him.
He’s Man United’s most unused substitute this season, but Mourinho has revealed he has selected Young to start in their clash against Hull City in the Premier League.
Speaking in his press conference ahead of the fixture, Mourinho spoke out about Young’s Old Trafford future.

He had plenty of options, with some Chinese clubs said to be interested in signing him, but it’s clear Young was just searching for more game time as he enters the latter stages of his career.
At 31, he’ll want to still be playing football but with others in the side with more to offer it’ll be interesting to see how the Portuguese boss keeps him happy in the squad.
Man United are fighting on four fronts in the Europa League, EFL Cup, FA Cup and the Premier League, leaving Young with plenty of opportunities to impress Mourinho.
