Jose Mourinho has confirmed Manchester United will not be buying or selling any players on what will be a very quiet transfer deadline day at Carrington.
Ashley Young was widely linked with a move to China or another Premier League with multiple offers on the table but he’ll now remain at Man United until at least the end of the season.
Prior to the January transfer window Bastian Schweinsteiger was also believed to be on the way out but having broken back into the first-team through his own hard work, the German midfielder will also be going nowhere.

That also rules out United signing any players despite a host of international stars including AS Monaco’s Timeoue Bakayoko and Benfica defender Victor Lindelof being heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford.
For now, Mourinho is happy with his squad but does admit he already knows what he wants in the summer transfer window. That being said, there is a clear focus on what is left in this season first.
Something which is a little bit surprising is to see United not trying to bring in a new striker for the U23s given how much we’ve lacked firepower in that area this season but apart from that, a quiet deadline day was expected.
