The video shows Pogba and Lingard, with music playing in the background, performing an in-formal but very much co-ordinated dance move, with Fosu-Mensah behind the camera.
Pogba shared the video with his 12.2m Instagram followers, captioning the post as a “new celebration.”
Firstly, and no messing around here, Pogba can dance – like, really dance. Way better than you or me. For those of you who don’t watch Fosu-Mensah’s Instagram stories, it’s basically just either him playing music in his car or Pogba pulling out moves that you most definitely cannot replicate.
Secondly, just imagine if Pogba and Lingard got to perform this celebration at a hostile away ground. Just think of the raw, unadulterated fury of middle aged men, bemoaning the death of “football as we knew it.”
Football fans – even United fans in some cases – seem to hate seeing the pair perform dance moves they neither know nor understand, and I for one crave to see Pogba and Lingard force an opposition ground into watching this pretty impressive sequence of moves, preferably more than once in a game.
The bottom line, however, is that a genuine sense of togetherness appears to be germinating under Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.
