Jesse Lingard insists Jose Mourinho has installed the winning mentality into players at Manchester United since he took over in the summer.
The Portuguese boss has gotten off to a mixed start to life at Old Trafford, but has turned the ship around as the side now sit two points off second place and still in the hunt for three other trophies.
Performances have massively improved under Mourinho and even in most of the games where we’ve dropped points, the side have still always looked like winning games.
Speaking about his impact, Lingard claims players now hate even losing in training games as they look to prove themselves to Mourinho.
“Training has more edge to it, he said.
“Everyone wants to win. It doesn’t matter the competition, we go in with a winning mentality.
“When you lose a training game you’re down all day and getting wound up by the other team.”
They seem more intent on working hard for their place in the squad and there’s no doubt it’s only the start of something special at Old Trafford as things being to click underneath the Portuguese boss.
