Rio Ferdinand insists Manchester United could finish in the Premier League top four this season because of their 16-game unbeaten run under Jose Mourinho.
Momentum and confidence must be high at the club as they’ve not tasted defeat in the Premier League since October 23 and currently sit just two points behind second-place Tottenham Hotspur.
Man United are fighting on four fronts and with just 13 games to go, there’s a good chance that they’ll be able to land Champions League football for next season.
Speaking about the team, Ferdinand claims United will be able to get in the top four.
“If you asked me two weeks ago, I’d have said no,” he said.
“The way the results have gone, the form and the run Manchester United are on.
“They left themselves a lot to do in this 16-game unbeaten run but it’s great to see this momentum.
“That’s the key word at this stage of the season – momentum.
“If you’ve got that in your armoury you’ve got a good chance of climbing the league and gaining a top-four spot.
“I think United will get into there.”
United had a mixed start to the campaign but hopes are they can maintain their form as they currently sit within touching distance of Champions League football.
Their next Premier League clash is on March 4, but they’re currently fighting on four fronts which is a brilliant representation of Mourinho’s impact at the club.
