Paris Saint Germain defender Thomas Meunier reveals he’s a big Man United fan

Paris Saint Germain defender Thomas Meunier insists he’s a massive Manchester United fan and would love to play in the Premier League one day.

He joined the French champions from Club Brugge last summer for £6million, but has already talked about a potential move away from the Parc des Princes.

He played the full 90 minutes in the stunning 4-0 victory over Barcelona as the side all but booked their place in the quarter-finals on Tuesday night.

Speaking about a potential move, he claims that he still regards Jose Mourinho’s men as the biggest name in world football.

“I’ve always said that one day, I would like to play in the Premier League,” he said.

“I’m very happy in Paris and if I finish my career there, it won’t be a disappointment, far from it. But, if one day, I had to leave Paris, why not?

“On the other side of the channel, there are the stadiums, the fans, and I’ve never hidden that I’m a big fan of Manchester United, which remains, in my eyes, the real reference in the world of football.”

He’s enjoyed a brilliant time under Unai Emery and the 25-year-old would be a brilliant addition under Mourinho at Old Trafford.

However, with Antonio Valencia playing the best football of his career at right-back, what would Mourinho do with both of them at the club?

Especially after the Portuguese boss claimed the Ecuadorian was one of the best in his position in the world, extending his contract last month after his impressive displays.
