Andreas Pereira scores, gets assist and is sent off in Granada win over Real Betis

Andreas Pereira had a very eventful game in Granada’s 4-1 win over Real Betis on Friday night after scoring a goal and getting an assist before being sent off by the referee.

The on-loan Manchester United midfielder was there to tap in a rebound and also laid on another goal for a teammate in the game but the main talking point is without doubt his red card. That being said, here’s a video of his goal:

Pereira was ridiculously sent off by the Spanish referee for a small nudge in the back of an opponent. Here’s a video of the full incident:

I hope for Pereira’s sake that red card is rescinded because to call it soft is a massive understatement. He’s in a cracking run of form having scored three goals in his last four appearances and it would be a terrible shame if he then found himself suspended due to this awful decision.
