Henrikh Mkhitaryan has thanked supporters following Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup fifth round.
The Armenian treated the 7,283 travelling Man United fans to another scintillating performance at No.10, providing a truly magnificent assist for Marcus Rashford after 27 minutes.
Jose Mourinho’s men will now look ahead to a quarter final visit to Chelsea next month in what will be his second return to Stamford Bridge as Man Untied boss after the 4-0 humiliation earlier this season.
Mkhitaryan, speaking after the game, was quick to thank United’s travelling fans for their “stunning” support.

United were bound to lose some potency following Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure. Whether the overly dramatic nature of their slump was necessary is another question. Either way, nobody could say that their supporters – even during the worst of times – have faded as well.
And at a ground that witnessed some truly golden moments during the Fergie era, United’s travelling contingent were once again out in force, providing an endless source of noise all afternoon.
There have been too many occasions where United have failed to reflect the grandeur of their support on the pitch, but the visit to Ewood Park felt like a throw-back to the golden days of yesteryear, with Mourinho’s men bombing forward with reckless abandon in the second half – attacking the goal closest to United’s support – and grabbing a deserved winner late on.
