Zlatan Ibrahimovic is prepared to stay at Manchester United until 2019, according to the Daily Mail.
The 35-year-old has silenced critics in the Premier League since his arrival from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer despite claims that he wouldn’t be able to adapt to the intensity of life in England.
He has signed a 12-month contract with the option to extend his deal at Old Trafford, as Jose Mourinho has claimed he’d love to keep the big Swede and he’s expected to trigger the clause at the end of the season.
Ibrahimovic has scored 26 goals this season and reports claim he’d be open to signing a two-year extension, which would take the forward to the age of 37.
Reports claim Ibrahimovic is enjoying life under Mourinho which is why he’s willing to extend his stay beyond next season, and he has previously insisted the only reason he joined in the summer was because the Portuguese boss called him.
There would be huge interest in his services if he leaves Old Trafford, but after already scoring 26 goals this season with plenty of games to go, Zlatan has proven he has what it takes to succeed in England.
