Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been offered a deal by LA Galaxy which would see him become the highest-paid player in MLS history, according to Telegraph.
Man United are desperate to extend his stay in England for another year, but he’s been heavily linked with an Old Trafford exit at the end of the season.
Jose Mourinho has confirmed he’d love to have the big Swede at Man United for another year, after silencing his critics with 26 goals across all competitions this season.
He’s currently earning around £11 million a year at United and a move to USA would have to eclipse that.
Talks were allegedly held with LA Galaxy before he moved to Man United, but Zlatan turned down a move at the time as he believed Mourinho had presented him with the perfect opportunity to prove his skills in England.
It’s incredible that Zlatan is still able to perform to the best of his abilities at the age of 35 and he’s already publicly spoken about the situation, claiming the reason behind is hesitation to sign a new contract was down to the fact that he wants to ensure he can perform to the highest level before signing an extension.
He has the mindset we need at Old Trafford, he’s a massive figure on and off the pitch, and United must work hard to ensure he stays.
