Bayern Munich defender Mats Hummels has poked fun at Manchester United whilst praising former Borussia Dortmund teammate Henrikh Mkhitaryan for receiving another ‘Goal of the Month’ award at Old Trafford, asking whether the club even nominates other players when deciding who claims the accolade.
The Armenian, ever since securing a place in the starting XI back in late November, has won three ‘Goal of the Month’ awards in a row.
His scorpion kick against Sunderland on Boxing Day emphatically and strike against Wigan Athletic ensured that the 28-year-old claimed ‘Goal of the Month’ for both December and January.
And Hummels, following yet another ‘Goal of the Month’ award for Mkhitaryan following his strike against Leicester City, started to question whether anybody else even receives a nomination.
Come on, it's like the 8th time you win this. Do they even nominate other players or do you just decide which goal you want to win with? http://t.co/ivun2YwCde

The German has actually touched on an important point when it comes to United’s scoring pattern this season, which essentially entails Zlatan Ibrahimovic scoring the majority of the goals and Mkhitaryan occasionally interjecting with a goal that leaves the watching world stunned.
This is not a pattern that United fans will want to disappear, but make no mistake: others in the side need to display much more potency in front of goal over the next few weeks.
