Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ander Herrera will both miss Manchester United’s game against Middlesbrough this weekend.
While Ibrahimovic serves the second of his three match ban, Herrera’s red card on Monday in the 1-0 defeat to Chelsea means he will miss the Middlesbrough game as well as the following match with West Brom as it was his second red card of the season.
But Marcos Rojo could become the third Man United player unavailable for Middlesbrough if retrospective action is taken over an alleged stamp on Eden Hazard at Stamford Bridge (click here to see the incident).
If found guilty, Rojo faces a ban of up to five matches after Bournemouth’s Tyrone Mings received the same ban after stamping on Ibrahimovic’s head. Given how good he’s been at centre-back, that would definitely be a blow for United least not because Phil Jones and Chris Smalling are hardly filling fans with confidence at the moment.
Eric Bailly should be available for FC Rostov and Middlesbrough having been seemingly rested for the Chelsea game but without a key trio on Saturday, United would find themselves up against it.
There should be up an update on the Rojo situation today and we will bring you news of that as soon as it happens.
