Andreas Pereira produced another effervescent performance on the left hand side during Granada’s 1-0 loss to Atletico Madrid in La Liga last weekend.
The Brazilian, who arrived at the Spanish side on a season-long loan basis over the summer, has enjoyed a superb season in terms of personal development, despite being part of a side now six points from safety.
Pereira’s display against Atletico served as a strong indication of just how much he has improved since arriving in Spain: neat on the ball, always looking to find space, relentlessly taking on the back four with his mazy movement.
Here is a highlight reel of the 23-year-old’s bold display against Diego Simeone’s side.
Pereira very good again for Granada. He had Juanfran at his mercy for much of the game. Good in 1v1, showcased dribbling ability. #MUFC

The first thing that springs to mind when watching this clip, above anything, is the sheer confidence dripping from the Brazilian’s demeanour. This is his first proper spell at a senior side in a big league and, even in the face of constant disappointment (Granada only have four league wins this season), he appears to be enjoying every second.
This loan move feels like something of a mission for Pereira: he managed to scratch the surface of first team action at Old Trafford last season but never stamped his authority on Louis van Gaal‘s side with the same kind of consistency seen with the likes of Marcus Rashford, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Guillermo Varela. He has grasped this opportunity, however, with real conviction, and supporters will hope he continues to impress over pre-season.
