The first leg will be held at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium in Belgium on Thursday 13 April with the return fixture at Old Trafford on Thursday 20 April.

Jose Mourinho’s men progressed further in the competition after beating FC Rostov 2-1 on aggregate, with Juan Mata’s goal securing a 1-0 win in the Round of 16 second leg at Old Trafford on Thursday.

Celta Vigo will play against Genk, Ajax against Schalke and Lyon against Besiktas in the three other quarter-finals.

Anderlecht are currently leading the Belgian First Division and have played Man United in European competition on six previous occasions, winning twice and losing four.

It’s a decent draw for United as they start to look like serious contenders to win the competition for the first time in their history as Jose Mourinho has placed an importance on getting back into the Champions League.

The players will fancy a trip to Belgium and United should progress further in the competition as they look to get back into the Champions League.
