Andreas Pereira opens up about his future at Manchester United

Andreas Pereira insists he’s enjoyed his football on loan in La Liga this season and has kept up communication with Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.

There were initial doubts over his move to Granada, with many United youngsters not receiving the right game time out on loan, but he’s seriously impressed even though the Andalusia side are struggling.

He’s been responsible for creating most of the club’s attacking plays as they currently fight for relegation and he’s proven that he’s able to perform even when the team around him aren’t.

Speaking about his future, Pereira claims his versatility can help him work his way into the first-team at Old Trafford.

“I think it was very good for me to come here to be able to play regularly,” he said. “Here I could do this and for me it was very important. The team is not in a good situation, but we’re working hard to get out of it.”

“Yeah, we’re always talking,” says Pereira about the Portuguese boss. “He’s been following me and I’m happy for that.”

“No, it still wasn’t talked about. At the end of the loan, when I get back to Manchester, then we’ll see what happens. For now, I’m focused here and trying to help my team.

“Actually, if I have to play for Manchester United, I want to play wherever the manager thinks I should play. I can play in many positions and that’s something good.”

Pereira has played for United in basically every midfield position so far and there’s no doubt Pereira will have a place in the team when he returns from his loan deal.

Mourinho loves players that are versatile and Pereira fits into the mould, hopes are he can continue his fine form and replicate his displays once he returns to England.
