Joshua Bohui has sparked a tug of war between England, France and Ivory Coast over his international services after impressing for Manchester United’s Under-18s this season.

The youngster, who joined from Brentford on a three-year contract over the summer, has claimed nine goals in 22 appearances so far this season, attracting attention with his raw energy and speed at No.9.

Bohui, born in London to an English mother and an Ivorian father, has represented England at Under-17 level but hasn’t committed himself to any national side as of yet.

And according to sources at Sky Sports, both France and Ivory Coast have contacted the youngster’s representatives in an attempt to secure his future national allegiance.

It is indeed a testament to Bohui’s speedy progression at Man United since arriving in August that, for some reason, even France – blessed with one of the finest pools of youthful talent – have decided to stick their noses in over his future.

Those that have watched the youngster in action will know that he is about as raw as they come: blisteringly quick, full of desire, sometimes indecisive but always explosive. Supporters will, without doubt, be keen to see how he progresses over the next year or so.
