Zlatan Ibrahimovic has discussed his future at Manchester United, insisting that he is still undergoing talks with the club over a new deal.
The big Swede has been incredible at Man United, silencing critics since his arrival last summer as many believed he wouldn’t be able to cope with the intensity of football in England.
He’s already scored over 25 goals across all competitions for Man United and has also been heavily linked with an Old Trafford exit as LA Galaxy were interested in making Ibrahimovic the highest-paid earner in the MLS.
Speaking about a potential deal, Zlatan insists nothing has been confirmed yet.
“Listen, if I had something to say I would already have said it,” he said.
“There is nothing to say. We are talking. If we are far from each other or close to each other… there is no news. There are still talks. So let’s see what will happen. I’m open. There is nothing done yet.”
He claimed earlier in the season that he wants to ensure he can perform to the best of his abilities before signing a new deal as there’s no doubt he wants to continue winning.
Zlatan is exactly the type of player United have missed in recent years and Jose Mourinho will be trying very hard to ensure he stays at Old Trafford past the summer.
