Jorge Mendes working on a Manchester United move for James Rodriguez – report

Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez is willing to move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window, according to reports in Spain.

He has attracted interest from Europe elite, but allegedly favours a move to Old Trafford as he shares the same agent as Jose Mourinho and has been convinced that Manchester will be the right fit for him.

The Colombian has endured a frustrating season at Real Madrid under Zinedine Zidane after falling down the pecking order and was hoping to leave the club before being persuaded to stay in the January transfer window.

Following his rise to prominence in the 2014 World Cup with Colombia, Real Madrid splashed out £63million oh his services, but following an incredible start he hasn’t been able to keep consistent.

He’d be an incredible signing at United, especially following our reported problems in front of goal and hopes are Mourinho can get him in a United shirt.

Rodriguez is still one of the most talented playmakers in the world and even though he hasn’t been at his best form, the Theatre of Dreams would be the perfect destination for his services.
