Jose Mourinho believes David de Gea is concentrated on his future at Manchester United and has not been distracted by recent reports.
He has allegedly been upset with the Portuguese boss following recent criticism and after being linked with a summer move to Real Madrid the Portuguese boss insists his head is in the right place.
De Gea was absent from the squad that beat Sunderland 3-0 at the Stadium of Light over the weekend in the Premier League but has travelled to Belgium as United take on Anderlecht in the Europa League.
Speaking in his press conference ahead of the game, Mourinho claims De Gea is committed to the cause at Old Trafford.
“I don’t see David with any problem related to this,” he said.
“End of season is the time where players can be thinking about what is going to happen with their careers.”
Sergio Romero took his place against Sunderland and although he’s also expected to start against Anderlecht, as he has done throughout the Europa League campaign, De Gea should be at the best of his abilities once United face Chelsea in the Premier League.
Hopes are his injury was nothing serious as he’s been a vital player of the squad this season and it’ll be a massive boost to have him in between the sticks again.
