Manchester United fans were delighted with Marcus Rashford‘s performance against Anderlecht in the Europa League quarter-final on Thursday night.
The Englishman was all over the pitch and you could tell from the opening minutes of the game that he was hungry for a goal, chasing each ball down and creating plenty of chances at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium.
He helped Man United find the opening goal of the game after he forced Anderlecht’s goalkeeper to make a full-stretched save to which Henrikh Mkhitaryan was then able to tap the ball in to find the back of the net.
Here’s what fans on social media had to say about Rashford’s impressive performance.
It doesn't always come off, but Rashford tries to make something happen each time he gets the ball. No safe 'academy football' from him.

Rashford playing much better in a freer role. He's so much more dangerous higher up the pitch and closer to goal.

He’s been exceptional this season and has performed well even though he’s been utilised out wide by Jose Mourinho for the majority of the campaign with summer arrival Zlatan Ibrahimovic leading the line.
Rashford has all the attributes to go on and become a top player at Old Trafford and it’s scary to think about how good he can go on to become as he’s still only 19 and at the start of his career at United.
