Manchester United fans were pleased with Paul Pogba’s performance against Anderlecht in the second leg tie at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.

He set up Man United’s opening goal of the game with a brilliant long ball in the first-half, completely opening up Anderlecht’s defence, allowing Marcus Rashford to find Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who put away the ball.

Whilst some of his decisions later on in the game were questionable, it’s clear that he was trying hard to help the side as he managed to have a positive impact on the game, even scoring in extra time only for the goal to be ruled offside.

Here’s what fans on social media had to say about Pogba’s performance.

He’s been a vital player this season and has often been unfairly criticised even when he has performed well as many are quick to judge him after he became the world’s most expensive player.

Pogba looked hungry to help the side and while he could have been more clinical in front of goal, he wasn’t the only who failed to finish chances as United’s problems in front of goal have been well-documented this season.
