Antoine Griezmann’s advisor opens up about Manchester United’s interest

Antoine Griezmann’s advisor, Eric Olhats, claims Manchester United were first to register their interest in the Frenchman as they’ve made their wishes concrete.

He’s enjoyed an incredible season at Atletico Madrid and has attracted attention from Europe’s elite as his advisor has confirmed Man United, Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid interest.

The Frenchman has indicated he is willing to stay under Diego Simeone, with the Argentinian extending his time at the Vicente Calderon Stadium, but a £84million release clause in his current contract means a move can not be ruled out.

Speaking about a potential move, Olhats discussed Griezmann’s options.

“We’re at the stage of gathering information from clubs who have a concrete interest,” he said.

“There is an unavoidable €100m clause so that restricts the number of candidates. You have United, City, Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

“United were the first to come and see us and the most concrete in their wishes.”

Mourinho will be looking to bolster his attacking options in the summer and he won’t be giving up on a player of Griezmann’s talent.

He’ll face stiff competition for Griezmann’s signature, but the Portuguese boss has proven to be persuasive and is the right man to lead the charge.
