Jose Mourinho has confirmed Marouane Fellaini and Paul Pogba could start for Manchester United against Celta Vigo if they’re fit.
Pogba has missed Man United’s last two games after he picked up a knock against Burnley, which was only three days after he played 120 minutes against Anderlecht.
Speaking about the pair, Mourinho reckons they could be in action on Thursday for the side’s Europa League semi-final first leg with Celta Viga.
“It’s a consequence of our success but also of the calendar. You cannot be punished because we play the League Cup final,” he said.
“(Marouane) Fellaini and (Paul) Pogba will be back for that game, so we have more options and we try with everything we have and we go again.”
United face a busy schedule of fixtures and the current injury crisis is not helping as Mourinho no longer has the option to rotate key players, which will ultimately lead to his players becoming fatigued, and the return of the pair will be a boost for the Portuguese boss.
