France manager Didier Decshamps has reacted to Kylian Mbappe’s potential move to Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
Mbappe has been heavily linked with an Old Trafford move as Gianluca di Marzio previously claimed Jose Mourinho had made a £85m bid for his services.
He’s attracted interest from Europe’s elite following his sensational breakthrough at Monaco this season and Mourinho faces stiff competition for his signature.
Speaking about a future move, Mbappe claims Mbappe should stay at Monaco and build on himself.
“From my experience, I’d say he should stay at Monaco for further development,” he said.
Recent reports claimed Mbappe had been put off by the style of football played at United this season and was also concerned by the emergence of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford as they play similar roles to him.
However, Jose Mourinho has proven to be very persuasive as we’ve seen from his first summer window at the club where he signed the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan without Champions League football to offer.
