Marcus Rashford, Eric Bailly, Antonio Valencia, Daley Blind and Paul Pogba were all back in training after being rested by Jose Mourinho against Arsenal earlier in the week.

The Portuguese boss had rested key players in the 2-0 Premier League defeat at the Emirates as he prioritised progressing past Celta Vigo in the second leg of the Europa League semi-final instead.

Despite falling further away from a top-four finish in the Premier League, the side are favourites to win the Europa League, even more so after prioritising the competition which could give them a path back into Champions League football ahead of next season.

Here’s a look at the players hard at work in training ahead of the clash at Old Trafford on Thursday night.

It’s a shame that United weren’t able to keep up the results in the Premier League as a top four finish would be very hard to reach at this moment in time, but it’s clear Mourinho believes the team are capable of winning the Europa League.

With a 1-0 lead over Celta Vigo thanks to Marcus Rashford‘s brilliant free-kick in Spain, Mourinho will be confident that his side can go out and finish the job, especially with many first-team players at top fitness.
