Jose Mourinho has explained his Manchester United team selection against Celta Vigo in the Europa League semi-final second leg clash at Old Trafford, claiming he doesn’t have any options in rotating players.

There have been multiple first-team members ruled out of action, with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and Ashley Young ruled out with long-term injuries.

It’s also been made worse by the fact that the side have endured a busy schedule of fixtures in the Europa League and Premier League as they hope to close in on their main aim of a Champions League qualification.

Speaking about his side, Mourinho is hoping none of his other players pick up any problems.

“We don’t have many options,” he said.

“This is the group and with this group, we have to play Europa League and Premier League. It is not easy but we managed to give rest to some players and I hope they can compete with a team that is only playing Europa League for a couple of months.

“We need somebody to score goals – it doesn’t matter who. We are going to play our game and try to score goals.”

The last thing we need at this point is another injury to a vital player because it’ll only make the job at hand much harder.

After progressing past Celta Vigo, hopes are the side can maintain their performances as there’s still plenty left to do.
