Manchester United had agreed on a summer transfer with Real Madrid superstar James Rodriguez, according to reports.

He continues to be linked with a move to Old Trafford with the Spanish press and Colombian radio stations claiming he has verbally agreed to an Old Trafford move.

The 25-year-old has been made a surplus to requirements by Zinedine Zidane at the Bernabeu and has allegedly been working on a possible move with Jorge Mendes ahead of the summer transfer window.

He was incredible at the 2014 World Cup and joined Madrid from Monaco for a fee of £71million, but has continued to fall further down the pecking order as time goes on.

As he’s contracted to Real until 2020 they could demand a massive fee for the playmaker who will start for Colombia at the 2018 World Cup.

However, despite all the speculation surrounding a move to Old Trafford, it still remains uncertain that a deal would actually go through as Jose Mourinho already understands where he needs to improve his squad in the summer with players to sign already in mind ahead of next season.
