Zlatan Ibrahimovic has posted a video of himself on social media as he continues his rehabilitation from his knee surgery at Manchester United.
The 35-year-old is expected to miss the start of next season after enduring a serious knee injury against Anderlecht last month in the Europa League.
There are fears he won’t play in a United shirt again as he is yet to sign a new contract to keep him at the club past this summer because he was said to be stalling before his injury.
Zlatan released a video of himself on Instagram walking in a swimming pool with the caption: “Ready for the final.”
Some believed he’d be back in action in time for Wednesday’s Europa League final, however, the Swede only underwent surgery two weeks ago and will have to be in Stockholm for the clash with Ajax on Wednesday as Mourinho claimed he should join Wayne Rooney to lift the trophy if United win.
It would have been brilliant to see him back in action as it’s a sad way to end his incredible playing career, especially at United as he racked up 28 goals across all competitions.
His recovery seems to be going well and although there are doubts over his Old Trafford future, the main thing is that he continues his rehabilitation.
