Manchester United fans enjoying a post-match drink at the ‘Hotel Football’ bar following their side’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace when Jesse Lingard dropped in and bought a round.
The Englishman, who recently received a new contract at Old Trafford, enjoyed a buoyant first half against Sam Allardyce’s side, claiming an assist for Paul Pogba as the home side cruised to a comfortable victory.
He was brought off at half time for Anthony Martial, leaving question marks over which winger will get to feature in the Europa League final.
After the game, Lingard stopped by ‘Hotel Football’, a five minute walk from Old Trafford owned by Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs, to treat supporters to a free drink.

Lingard is widely viewed as something of a haughty, overpaid member of this United squad, mainly because of his supposedly overly animated demeanour off the pitch. But to focus on how a player seems to be, to make over-arching judgments on people based on online antics, is just unfair – not just in the case of Lingard, but indeed anyone.
Beneath the regularly chastised surface lies a warrior, a dedicated professional who gives everything on the pitch, even if it doesn’t necessarily transpire into goals. Most of all, however, he is very much aware of the privileged lifestyle he leads and indeed of who helped him get where he is today.
