Paul Pogba believes no one can criticise Manchester United following their successful season winning the Community Shield, EFL Cup and the Europa League.
Man United overcame Ajax in the Europa League final, as the Frenchman scored the opening goal of the game to help Man United on their way to a comfortable 2-0 triumph over Ajax in Stockholm.
They’ve secured Champions League football for next season in the process and although Premier League performances have been disappointing, the side have reached their main aim ahead of next campaign.
Speaking about the situation, Pogba was delighted that United were able to control the game.
“We did it. We are very proud. Nobody can talk. They said we had a bad season but we have three trophies,” he said.
“The start was important and after the goals we controlled the game. Great performance from everybody in the team.
“These things are terrible all over the world, in London and in Paris. We went out focused to win and we won for Manchester and the country.”
The final was just two days after a terrorist attack in Manchester which killed 22 people and Pogba admits the players were playing for the entire country.
They’ve done everyone proud tonight and it’ll be something to smile about as they’ve now become the fifth club to have won all three major European trophies.
