Jose Mourinho claims he has no idea if Manchester United will sign Antoine Griezmann in the summer transfer window as executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is taking care of any deals.
He took to social media on Friday, claiming he is yet to make any decision to leave Atletico Madrid with his choice set to be announced within the next two weeks.
The Portuguese boss has previously claimed that Woodward has known the names of the players he wants to sign for the last two months.
Speaking about a potential move while in Monaco, Mourinho insists it’s time for him to take a break from football.
“I have no idea if Antoine Griezmann will come to United. Ask Ed Woodward. He knows since March who I want, what I want and how much I want,” he said.
“Now is for him to work. It’s for him to work because he has holidays in August and in August I’m working.
“I don’t care about football for a month. I’m really happy with our season, the [EFL Cup and Europa League] trophies, to be back in Champions League but now I have a rest, to disconnect completely and enjoy my family and friends and other sports I like.”
Griezmann has been massively linked with a move to Old Trafford, especially after saying it was a ‘6 out of 10’ chance he would be joining Man United.
He has claimed he’s willing to leave this summer in order to win silverware and Mourinho will face stiff competition for his signature.
