Jose Mourinho could be set to ask for Alvaro Morata in return for David de Gea this summer, according to reports.

The Portuguese boss will look to pick up a substantial fee for his services and will demand around £65million for the Spaniard, which is a world-record figure for a goalkeeper.

Marca claim Mourinho would be willing to sell De Gea for less if they include Morata in the deal plus an offer of £22m.

Morata has picked up interest from Chelsea and AC Milan, with Gianluca Di Marzio claiming he could be set to make the move to Milan, as he’s valued at around £65m.

United will be looking to bolster their attacking options this summer with Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s future still uncertain and captain Wayne Rooney hinting his Old Trafford career is over.

Morata, who scored fifteen goals in just 14 league starts for Los Blancos this season, would likely be a first choice starter ahead of the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.

De Gea is the best goalkeeper in the world and Mourinho won’t feel pressured into selling his star asset unless he gets a deal which benefits him and strengthens his squad at Old Trafford.
